You are beautiful just as you are

There is something absolutely beautiful about honesty and vulnerability. As I have built a space here in Frisco that allows for people to just show up exactly as they are, it has become a haven for me as well. I always say, "I never teach, what I do not need to learn myself" and this is true for what I am trying to build at the Sacred Space. I am building a place where I also hope to show up authentically, even as an instructor. I have often felt alone here in Frisco-- misunderstood, like a misfit. I don't always understand or identify with the culture around me. I feel like I need a place where I can show up just as I am, without being judged (either by myself or others). When I walk in the door, I need a place that exudes peace, an escape from distraction, a place of comfort, friendship, authentic conversation and an attention towards the things that matter most in life. I need an escape from the hysteria of the rat race around us and a fear of missing out. I am not sure if everyone experiences the world like me but I hope that when they walk in the doors of my Sacred Space they will feel the intention I nurture here and that they can feel free and unashamed of who they are and able to show up authentically.

“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.” ― Brené Brown, Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead

Thank you for sharing this space with me. May you feel free and have the courage to show up just as you are here and may you love and be loved in your entirety.
