As I write this, it is Monday and for most of us, the weekly rat race has begun again! Carving out time on a yoga mat can sometimes make the race go a little smoother, bringing you some calm, often leading to clarity and peace.
For me, the time on my mat, that hour, when it is just me, my body, my breath, and the thoughts that I create around fully being present are the best moments I get during the day. When I am fully experiencing myself in my body as I move with my breath, as I sit in stillness, move with purpose, breathe with intention and twist, turn, rest and move again, those are the moments that restore me allowing me to find the energy and clarity I need.
Yoga is my moving meditation, bringing to me “calmness of mind.” For me, yoga provides a true sea of serenity in the middle of the chaotic storm of a hectic life. My time during yoga allows me to find some peace, some quietness, some stillness in an ever racing day filled with obligations and in an ever racing mind filled with thoughts that have no time to settle. I look forward to leading you in a weekly practice that creates calm in your body and mind.
